The Wonky Facility
We are in the process of opening up a physical Wonky Haven!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Our goal is to open up this spring and begin offering classes and community events to promote education that allows for experience with these types without the daunting task of taking them permanently under your wing.
We recognized that we are lacking a way to “step your foot in the door” with disabled animals that does not require taking on the full responsibility of their care. Just like how someone may volunteer at a shelter to experience cats or dogs before making that huge decision to adopt or foster, we wanted to create that opportunity for disabled animals and familiarize the public with their daily lives💖
It’s hard to always know what exactly their lives entail when they might “look” so different online and you have no way to see them living day to day. We want to open those doors! 🥹✨
We would double as an adoption center & nursery where many, if not most, of these kitties would be available for adoption should you meet one that is simply just meant to be! 💖 But we want to encourage the community simply to come and learn & be involved without the pressure of feeling the need to adopt.
We want to offer classes on neonatal care in addition to the more “niche” world of special needs. Our goal is simply to give a safe place for people and animals alike 🥹 To learn & to grow as a whole and save a whole lot of lives along the way
